Part Number: DAC8760EMC-EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC8760 Hello,
I have recently received a DAC8760EMC-EVM along with a SM-USB-DIG. I have connected +/-15V supply to the DAC8760 EMV board and also connected the SM-USB-DIG between the USB port…
Part Number: DAC8760EMC-EVM I am having one doubt regarding supplies to the board. What must be the current rating of supply for supplying +/- 15V. Can I supply it from a DC Regulated Power Supply of +/-15V, 0.5A rating? Will it damage the board?
Matteo,
Here are a few answers for you about the DAC8760:
1. I would tie the HART-IN to GND through the 22nF capacitor to ground.
2. The DAC only supports SPI mode 0.
3. Yes, the LATCH can be tied to /CS. Data is latched in at the rising edge of /CS…

Hi,
so bought EVM from mouser, comes with no disk... OK, go to TI website.. not easy to find but eventually found it ( I think) sboc432b.zip
Now, if you…
Dheeraj,
There are two different evaluation boards for the DAC8760. For one, the diodes protect through the full range of supply operation. For that, it is the DAC8760EVM, and you can find the EVM User's guide here:
