Can you confirm that the optical engine has a DLP3010 and not a DLP3010LC ? If this is the case, the DLPC3478 will reject the DMD as it is meant to be used with the DLP3010LC .

We do not have a documented procedure for removing DMD or optical engine from the EVM. However, this method should be straight forward with a Philip screwdriver and a blade to cut sealant.

The DLP3010AFQK DMD is not a supported chipset option for DLPC3478 controller. The DLPC3478 controller works with only DLPC3010LC DMD (DLP3010LCFQK).
