Part Number: DRV592 Hello,
I am current using the DRV592 to drive a peltier chip for cooling, CUI CP40347, however I am constantly getting the overcurrent fault. The supplied voltage is 5V but measured at 4.96V to be exact. The applied PWM is at 100kHz…
Part Number: DRV592 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV594 , , DRV593 Hello there.
We plan to use Peltier Element in our application to keep the temperature in the desired range.
When the temperature is above a certain limit (e.g. 50C), we would drive…
Part Number: DRV592 We're trying to use a DRV592 H-Bridge driver to drive a 2A TEC cooler for a laser diode, which we measure as a nominal 1.3 Ohm impedance. We're also using the circuit shown on the datasheet front page and on the Eval board schematic…
Part Number: DRV592 Hi,
DRV592 has maximum PWM frequency of 1MHz. If I use 1MHz PWM signal can duty-cycle for this part be less than 50%? Or does internal FETs require minimum 500ns control signal in order to turn on? Can for example 1% duty-cycle be…

I am currently designing a laboratory reactor control board, which has 2 peltier and 2 heater resistor. The peltier is only for cooling, so am planning to use it single…

I need a DRV592 evaluation module.
Oddly, the DRV592 is still an active TI product, but they have discontinued the EVM for that part.
How might I acquire a DRV592 evaluation module?
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV592 HI,please find below the feedback from my customer HD.
I have another question about the DRV592 device. The DRV592 is now implemented in a printed circuit assembly and is operated within the nominal conditions according…
Hello,
That filter is generically chosen as an example as a TEC element will need some type of low pass filter. There are some example calculations in the following datasheet that can be followed to match your particular TEC element.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV592 Hello,
I am trying to use a DRV592 to drive a TEC module and getting too little voltage. The inputs are PWM outputs of an Atmel 328p at 1kHz. The impedance of the TEC module is ~265 mOhm and the TEC data sheet calls…
Nathan,
Glad the device working well for you!
Definitely need a LC filter. The following datasheet starting on page 9 has a great section on how to do do this calculation and minimize ripple in the TEC element. A RC filter would be way to lossy.
