Part Number: DRV8251 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8812 Hello, I have two questions.
Is there a mode where the H-bridge FET turns on due to residual charge in the capacitor of the booster circuit inside the driver when the power is off?
(Background…
Part Number: DRV8251 Is it possible to use a carbon film resistor, e.g. 0.2 Ohm 1W for a max. current of 1.9 A as stated in data sheet? It appears that metal film resistors (below 1 ohm) are inductive in nature.
Thanks,
Sudhir Gupta
Nathan,
The ripple will depend on your motor inductance. if you have other motors with different inductances, you can try and see if this 200mA is constant regardless of motor inductance.

Part Number: DRV8251 Howdy,
I'd like to replace an analog closed-loop motor current driver with DRV8251 or similar. Particularly interested in the internal current regulation, but require bandwidths in the 10s of kHz. Unfortunately, a couple of the…

Part Number: DRV8251 Hi Team, Seeking your comments.
Set Itrip with VREF and Rsense to be above the maximum current used in the application. Itrip would only be achieved in an over current condition. The Rsense voltage would be sensed by an external circuit…
Hi Statham,
Below is the requested information:

Hi Experts,
Seeking your assistance on this query about DRV8251 from Cx:
I have been testing the DRV8251 as a replacement for the ST L6201 to drive a stepper motor. Everything was going great until it was noticed that the application…
Part Number: DRV8251 Hi Team,
Can you let me know the maximum transient current for this device?
I would like to know the he maximum transient current the driver can withstand without causing damage to the chip.(for example: 8A in <600ns?)
There is…
