Part Number: DRV8251A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251 Hi Team,
My customer is testing the DRV8251A and we have some question below,
1.Customers are conducting reliability tests on DRV8251. They increase the VM to about 52V and find that the chip…
Part Number: DRV8251A Hi,
I try to find a application note to create a sensorless speed regulation for a BDC motor in H bridge configuration.
I thought I could detect the speed of the motor with a measurement of BEMF and regulate it with a uC.
But…
Part Number: DRV8251A Hey team,
Quick question - when the device is in UVLO, what does it look like to outside components? Does it appear in Hi-Z Mode or Ground on the outputs?
Thanks,
Cam
Part Number: DRV8251A Hey team,
Got a few more questions regarding the DRV8251a. Within the datasheet the Abs. Max for current is stated as 'Internally Limited.' I was curious how this was set? It is through the current mirror that monitors IPROPI?…
Hi Bella,
The direction of rotation will depend on the control input and the control truth table (see datasheet).
By the way, I talked with out BLDC team for support. They mentioned the DRV8251A or DRV8231A will be better drivers for this application…
Part Number: DRV8800 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251A , DRV8876 Hey team,
I was wondering if we had a P2P compatible device with the DRV8800 full-bridge driver that could handle at least 3.5A? We're likely going to move to the new DRV8251A, but…
Hey Allen,
Have they tried with the potentiometer turned all the way to its lowest resistance setting? According to 7.4.2 PWM Without Current Regulation in the datasheet, this will get near the without current regulation setting. Alternatively, do as the…
Hey Burak,
Ibrahim Burak Keskin said: 1) I will be driving two DC motors bi-directionally. So, natural operation mode of the device is Dual Full Bridge Mode (M3=0, M2=1, M1=1). According to the datasheet, in this mode, complement of the control signal …

The way to measure load current: we insert high precision 1 ohm resistor between PGND pin and PCB ground。Then we amplifier the voltage signal across 1 ohm res and measure it…
Part Number: DRV8844 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251A
Hello,
I am designing a control board for bistable water valves operated at ~9V. I'd like to control the on/off solenoid current bursts (300mA for 250ms resp. -50mA for 60ms) and to detect…
