Part Number: DRV8251EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251 Dear support,
i´ve got a question about the DRV8251EVM.
When the dc motor is running (foreward or backward) and i switch to break or coast, the supply voltage (yellow) is drifting…
Hello Saad,
It sounds like you have the DRV8251EVM because of its 150m Ω sense resistor (R7), the DRV8251AEVM has a 0Ω sense resistor (R7).
Current regulation on the DRV8251 should have a latched disabled response for overcurrent protection,…
Hi Daven,
If possible, I would try connecting VREF to GND instead of DGND. The DRV8231EVM connects all input signals to GND reference.
The full schematic is available in the hardware files of the DRV8251EVM Evaluation board | TI.com product page.

Part Number: DRV8251A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251EVM Hello, I'm planning to use the DRV8251A to drive a BDC motor, replacing the DRV8432. On the previous version of the schematic (not my design)
it shows snubber circuits, with a note…
Hey Nathan,
If it is just due to thermal issues, I suspect it stems either from the quantity of copper the PowerPad is connected to, and/or insufficient solder to the pad:
1. Quantity of copper: See this image from Best Practices for Board Layout of Motor…
Hey Suzuki-san,
DRV8256 has integrated current sense. Do you still wish to implement this externally? What application are you trying to achieve? I am attaching a schematic of our DRV8251EVM that has external amplifier.
Best,
Akshay
Part Number: DRV8231 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8251EVM , Dear Sir/Ms.
My customer uses 24V brushed motors, so I suggest him to design DRV8231. But because the EVM on TI DRV8231 webpage is DRV8251EVM,
I apply for DRV8251EVM customer. The DRV8251EVM…
Part Number: DRV8251 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8872 , , DRV8872EVM ,
Team,
Both DRV8872/DRV8251 have a DDA|8 package.
Can a DRV8872 PCB (like the DRV8872EVM below) be used "as is" with DRV8251 ? I looked at the DRV8251EVM schematics as…
