Good afternoon James, I apologize for my mistake. The signals on my breakout board were actually connected to the gate drive signals from the microcontroller (used as inputs to the DRV8303). This explains the lacking PWM deadband and also voltage levels…

Part Number: DRV8303 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8353 Hi, I know the DRV8303 can work up to 60V of power supply and an absolute maximum of 65V but for a 14s battery pack system (58.8V max) the limit is too close to the maximum voltage of the battery…

Hello Rick I am getting a little desperate with this, I have lowered the gate current, increased the gate resistors, added diodes and caps on the low side source and power GND and I still cant get close to 48V without the GVDD dropping. I have replaced…

Part Number: DRV8303 The average rotation speed of the motor converges at 102-103% of CLKIN. I understand that the hall signal from the motor is not uniform and has a variation of 10 to 20%. Is it expected that the average speed will deviate by 2-3% as…

Hi Carlos, Thanks for the gain confirmation. I would suggest sniffing the SPI transactions to make sure the gain is fixed. Some scopes have this ability.
