  • DRV8307 BLDC motor driving problem

    eb1984
    eb1984
Hi, I am trying to drive my bldc motor with my own drv8307 board and DRV8307 EVM board. My bldc motor normal current is 1.45 A ( and it draws this normal current with DRV8307EVM board and there is no problem with DRV8307EVM board) , but with my own…

  • How to Bypass DRV8307 Rotor Lock Detection

    Evan Beard
    Evan Beard
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8308 , DRV8307 We are building a product that requires bypassing the DRV3807's rotor lock detection. The datasheet does not mention a way to do this, nor does it describe the rotor lock detection criteria well enough…

  • DRV8307: BLDC starts and spins up to speed, but then shuts off and coasts

    Russell Troxel
    Russell Troxel
Part Number: DRV8307 The motor spins up and the 8307 outputs LOCKn. Then the device loses lock and coasts down to almost stopped. then it starts again on its own and repeats the process. These repeats until I stop the motor. The repeated stop and start…

Hi Jiang, jiang xiu said: 1.Does Drv8307 /8 measure the voltage across VM and pin-U to determine whether the high side MOSFET-U is over current or not? If it is in this way, it means that the pin VM of drv8307 /8 and the motor power VM must be…

  • DRV8307: DRV 8307 driving 100%PWM when its pwm input is low

    Ashwini Dongre
    Ashwini Dongre
Part Number: DRV8307 We are using the DRV 8307 to interface to reciprocating piston pump.DRV 8307 is controlled by the FPGA.During testing we follow these steps: 1. Program the FPGA 2. Send 20% PWM-DC input to the DRV8307.We see the pump running at…

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8307 , DRV8308 I have a design on the horizon that requires a 28VDC brushless DC motor pulling up to 200 amps. I'm thinking of using a IGBT module instead of mosfets. I'm looking through app notes and other information…

Hi Philip, The DRV8307 gate driver is internally limited to 30 mA. You are correct on the series resistor being used for slowing the switching transients if needed. The mention of Clock Frequency Mode on pin 19 in the datasheet is actually incorrect…
