Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8307EVM Hi, My customer tries to operate motor with DRV8307EVM. They use the hall element. it is "HW-105W". VM=24V. At this case, What are we select at JP3 and JP4? I think think that we select the following. Is…

Hi Russell, Are you using the DRV8307EVM? If not, can you provide a schematic? What is your system voltage? What is the time between LOCKn and the device losing lock? Are you monitoring FAULTn? What are you motor parameters?

Hi John, I have not verified this solution on linear halls. The concept is used for hall sensors which have a single output indicating a logic zero or one. The DRV8307EVM and DRV8308EVM shows how to connect either a hall element (2 output hall)…

Part Number: DRV8307 Hello, I have developed a dual BLDC motor controller PCB. The PCB design basically implements the DRV8307EVM twice on a single PCB excluding the SN74CBT3244CBTCPW switch network. The BLDC motors have single-ended hall sensors wired…

Hi, I am trying to drive my bldc motor with my own drv8307 board and DRV8307 EVM board. My bldc motor normal current is 1.45 A ( and it draws this normal current with DRV8307EVM board and there is no problem with DRV8307EVM board) , but with my own…

Hello Adarsh, What large current draw value are you expecting in your new board? what is the current value under the same conditions in the DRV8307EVM? Do you have the same layout as the DRV8703EVM on your board? if so, can you set PWM input of your…

Hi Rick, Thanks for the reply. I have tested two motors on the DRV8307EVM; one is a 4-pole rotor/6-pole stator with halls spaced at 60deg and the other is a 14-pole rotor/12-pole stator with halls spaced at 120 deg. It's the 14-pole motor that doesn…

Lukasz, sorry to hear it isn't working. There clearly appears to be a problem with the phase or Hall wiring, or the Hall polarity. For the trial-and-error approach, the DRV8307EVM has 2 jumpers that make it easy to try each Hall polarity. Or if you can…
