Part Number: DRV8312 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8332 , Tool/software: Assuming Figure 8-1. DRV8332 Application Diagram for Three-Phase Operation Schematic in https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/drv8312 data sheet.
First, I would like to control the DRV8312…
Part Number: DRV8312 Tool/software: Hi Team,
In my custom board, I have both the DRV8873HPWPRQ1 (H-bridge motor driver for brushed DC motors) and the DRV8312 (3-phase brushless motor driver). I now want to make it EMI-free and followed the design guidelines…
Hi Yara,
As OUT C is not connected in above 3 phase motor driver, Can I use it for driving other motor as shown in below diagram (i.e., with 2 DRV8312 ICs, 3 different motors can be driven)? Will it cause any timing or functionality issues?
Hi Turguy,
Using our BLDC Thermal Calculator , assuming the ambient temp around the MCT8316Z is 45C, a small PCB, and minimal losses from the buck, the MCT8316Z should not have any issues with your application even if the rotor locks for extended periods…
Hi,
What software are you using to connect to the C2000 device?
Since you are using RS232, does that mean that you are using SCI to communicate with C2000 device?
Best Regards,
Ben Collier
Part Number: DRV8312 Tool/software: The datasheet is not particularly clear if the thermal pad on the 8312 device is electrically isolated or not. It says to connect to ‘large ground plate’. Can this be any ground plane/ large copper plane or should…
Hi Ede,
It looks like eval board used to be available but not any more

Part Number: DRV8312 1 - Example of the 1xPWM command - is this a constant value ie - the bus voltage percent to apply or should this be a waveform? How to control speed? (adjust value down until desired speed is measured). This is more like a constant…
