Hello,
As mentioned, if the current can stand to be slightly limited you can try a small series resistor.
I would also make sure that there is proper decoupling caps local to the DRV.
Thank you,
Joseph
Hi Dongbao,
I looked into this more and found values for Rpd and Rpu. Based on these values, I am seeing inconsistencies in the datsheet values versus actual. I will discuss this with design team and also do more testing on bench.
As of right now, I am…
Part Number: DRV8329 Tool/software: Hello,
We're working with the DRV8329 and have a question about charging the bootstrap capacitor.
In the datasheet, the block diagram does not show a resistor in series with the GVDD diode internally.
Also note…
Part Number: DRV8329 Tool/software: This is a new thread extending DRV8329: nFault condition on Startup
Based on your first waveform it seems that there is GVDD UV. Is the GVDD cap adequately sized and placed close to the driver GVDD pin?
Yeah I was looking…
Part Number: DRV8329 Tool/software: Hello,
We are testing with the DRV8329A is indicating a nFault condition on startup. What's interesting is that PVDD, GVDD and AVDD rails are not up yet.
There is clearly something wrong with the PCB board, but do…
Part Number: DRV8329 Tool/software: Hi Expert,
Have a nice day!
I have one question about DRV8329-Q1.
Customer wants to use FOC by DRV8329-Q1 and we are facing efficiency issues wrt current draw and the current ripple of the supply when compared to a…
Part Number: DRV8329-Q1 Tool/software: Hi Expert,
Have a nice day!
I have one question about DRV8329-Q1.
Customer wants to use FOC by DRV8329-Q1. Whether you can provide the accuracy requirements for current sampling resistors Rsense?
The operation…
Part Number: DRV8329 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301 Tool/software: Dear TI experts,
Do you have MATLAB code or block of DRV8329?
Or do you have any link to MATHWORKS website which can refer DRV8329 block or code?
Best regards,
