  • DRV8412: Opposite high-bridge turning on spontaneously

    David Kraeutmann

    TI Thinks Resolved
Part Number: DRV8412 When running at close to 50V, the opposite high-bridge turns on spontaneously and only turns off when the CBC limit kicks in. I've attached some scope screenshots; the top two traces are OUT_A, OUT_B on the DRV8412DDWEVM and the bottom…

Part Number: DRV8412 A bit of Description: I have a motor driver set up in Parallel full bridge configuration by setting M2 high, whist M1 and M3 are low. Using a OC_ADJ pin of 150 Ohms. This is all set up on the DRV8412DDWEVM Evaluation board…

Part Number: DRV8412 Hello, During an initial test of getting the device to a fault state, I noticed that the outputs do shut off but the fault pin does not go low. After looking into this with an oscilloscope I saw that during the time it goes on…

Hi Jovin, Yes, this is possible. This is at the upper end of the current for the DRV8412, so thermal considerations should be taken into account. There is a DRV8412DDWEVM available for evaluation.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8412 , DRV8412DDWEVM Hi, In the datasheet of the DRV8412, there is a small section about a low-pass LC filter. From the spec (p.18): " For TEC driver or other non-motor related applications (e.g. resistive load…

Hi Albert, Can you clarify which EVM you have? There are two in the eStore: 1) The DRV8412-C2-KIT and 2) The DRV8412DDWEVM Thanks.

I anticipated your recommendation for learning Motorware. Fact is that I will eventually need a four half-bridge inverter. I prefer to modify a dev module before spinning a custom board. Recommendations? To be clear, the DRV8412DDWEVM has no phase voltage…

Wang, Thank you very much. About 1: I understand the measurement of Ton_min. Did you confirm Ton_min = 50nsec described in the data sheet by measuring with EVM? https://www.ti.com/tool/DRV8412DDWEVM Also, I think that Ton_min = 50nsec described in…
