Part Number: DRV8770EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8770 , DRV8262 , DRV8262EVM , Tool/software: Hello,
I am investigating a few TI solutions for a new design :
DRV8703 / DRV8262 / DRV8770
I want to drive a 24V BDC boosted to 36V motor (10A rms current…
Part Number: DRV8770 Tool/software: I am using DRV8770 for Relay driving. Do we need to charge Bootstrap capacitor externally. If not, then how should I configure the IC to charge the Bootstrap capacitor to operate high side MOSFET.
Part Number: DRV8770 We are trying to design a system with one high frequency leg and one low frequency leg. Using the calculations we are getting about 3uF boostrap capacitor for the 60Hz leg. I know that the bootstrap diode is internal and that it has…
The primary issue was with our design. By following TI advice, I have added gate-source resistors and zener diodes to each of the MOSFETs and with a lot of boundary condition testing, we have not had any unexpected operation. Thank you!
Part Number: DRV8770 Hi, Good day. In the datasheet it states, "The DRV8770 can drive an H-bridge with power supply up to 100 V." Does that mean the load or motor can see 100Vp-p or 200Vp-p? What is the maximum Low-side drain pin voltage? If I…
Part Number: DRV8770 I have an application that frequently experiences catastrophic VBUS shorts when powering up the controller that destroys the MOSFETs and the controller. It appears that the outputs of the gate drivers are open-circuited when in UVLO…
Hi Lokesh,
We don't have too many options currently for gate drivers that support 48V. The DRV8770 is our highest rated voltage gate driver that also has two half-bridges (only 2 channels) and independent half bridge mode. You would more than likely still…
