Part Number: DRV8872 Tool/software: Hello Team,
can you please help my customer:
We use the DRV8872-Q1 to control a DC motor. It was used as a replacement because the original one from infineon went EOL. During tests I noticed something strange that I…
Part Number: DRV8872-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8872EVM Dear expert: Question1: What's the max voltage of pin out2, 12.7V or 50.7V? Considering VM is 12V in my application. Continuous phase node pin voltage (out1,out2) is found to be VM+0.7V…

I have some questions.
1. As shown below, using DRV8872-Q1 to connect BLDC with built-in speed controller. Is it right?
2. If it is not available, do you recommend the DC…
Part Number: DRV8872-Q1 Hi,
I'm trying to control the BLDC motor for the first time.
I have a BLDC motor with speed controller.
Is there any problem to control a BLDC motor with speed controller by brushed motor driver (such as DRV887x-Q1)?
Thanks…
Part Number: DRV8872-Q1 Hello team,
Could you tell me a designed value of thermal shutdown about DRV8872-Q1? I would like to know the maximum value of TSD.
Best regards, Ochi
Part Number: DRV8872-Q1 Hi team,
How to set the protection trip level, when using DRV8872-Q1 in On-Board Charger application to lock the charging gun?
I notice that on datasheet, the overcurrent protection trip level varies from 3.7A to 6.6A, range is…
Part Number: DRV8872EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8872-Q1 Hello supporting team,
Could you tell me why duty cycle range of DRV8872EVM is different from that of DRV8872-Q1?
I saw [It is capable of an approximately 25-kHz output that can be adjusted…
Hi Michael,
The DRV8872-Q1 does have short to supply or ground protection on the outputs. If an output is short to VM and enabled low, or an output is short to GND and enabled high, an overcurrent event will occur.
The nFAULT pin should signal a fault…
Part Number: DRV8872-Q1 Hi Expert,
We are doing the OCP test. As you can see the below waveform the retry timing is around 3mS, but the Iout is over 12A, is the IC damage? Thanks!
