Hi Dale,
How much current are you looking to drive, 10A? Is this a peak current value or are you looking to drive 10A continuously?
If you tie a 330kΩ resistor between MODE and GND, you will be able to operate all four half-bridges independently; however…

Tool/software:
Hi All,
I'm looking to use the DRV8955 to drive a solenoid valve open and closed as quickly as possible. I would also like to utilize the ITRIP feature to limit the current from exceeding a threshold, as well as use…
Part Number: DRV8955 Tool/software: hi team,
my customer wants to use DRV8955 to connect the capacitive load in digital output module.
Will it cause any problems? thanks!
Part Number: DRV8955 Tool/software: Hello,
I am running into issues when laying out the DRV8955 QFN package (PRGER suffix). I am noticing that the pad size is quite small for how large the currents are. Out 1 - 4 has a maximum current capacity of 2…
Part Number: DRV8955
Tool/software:
Hello,
While working on my design using the DRV8955, I noticed that the package for PWP and RGE differ slightly.
It seems that the PWP has two pins per output. I was just wondering why that was.
And to follow up…
Part Number: DRV8955 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8962 , Tool/software: Can you describe the spread spectrum behavior of the DRV89xx series? I am looking at controlling a proportional valve for a pressure controller, but I think the spread spectrum…
Hey Jacob, thank you for your support. You have right in sleep mode is this current is about 1.8mA. In the documentation of the DRV8955 I didn't find any specification about any Rhi-z impedance. Basically, we can live with this phenomenon, its effect…
Part Number: DRV8955 hi team,
my customer want to choose DRV8955 in the digital output module.
what is the maximum frequency of PWM output? Can this chip used to output 100kHz PWM? Thanks!
Part Number: DRV8955 Hello,
My customer is looking to evaluate the DRV8955 and has a question about the power on sequence for driving two of these devices.
I read the post about connecting two drivers together and how to handle fault detection and if…
Hey Tom,
Just to clarify the current captures were taken when the opposing two inputs were off. I recommend getting our DRV8955 EVM and also performing tests with that to figure out if there is something wrong with the board and layout itself.
Best regards…
