    DS15BR401: Camera Link

    Part Number: DS15BR401

Can the DS15BR401 be used for "Camera Link" applications?  I don't see it in this list, but this came from a document written in 2000.

    Any input is really appreciated!

    DS15BR401: Common Mode Range

    Part Number: DS15BR401

    Hi Team,

I noticed that the DS15BR401 datasheet mentioned the Vth and Vtl with Vcm between 0.8V to 3.55V, however, the Vcmr has a min and max between 0.05V to 3.55V.  Our customer has 1.2V LVDS input with 0.6V common mode, is this device still suitable?

    Thanks and best,

    Jerry

DS15BR401: Hot swap for Bus connection

    Part Number: DS15BR401

Customer is using DS15BR401 for Bus connection (1:N).

On application, input sequence is GND ⇒ Signal ⇒ Power supply.

When these hot swappable input, DS15BR401 input side are shocked.

    Please let me know about two points below;

①Is there protection circuit or IC for DS15BR401 input side?

②In the first place, is DS15BR401 not match the use case of Bus connection?

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

    DS15BR401: as a 150MHz LVDS buffer

    Part Number: DS15BR401

    Hi,

I found, as a 150MHz LVDS buffer for video interface, DS15BR401 may be over design. Could you pls recommond other solution? 4 channel is good.

Another question is, as a video interface, I found the power consumption of DS15BR401 is much larger than SN65DP141. Could you tell me the reason? Does its internal PLL consume more power than DP141?

    Thanks.

    DS15BR401: max pkg power capacity

    Part Number: DS15BR401

    Hi Team,

In Datasheet page4, pkg power capacity shows 1.64W for TQFP, and 4.16W for WQFN.

    If we do the math MAX Vcc * MAX Icc = 3.6V * 215mA = 0.774W.

it doesn't add up, so customer would like to know what is pkg power capacity number meaning?

    Thanks.

DS15BR401: Non-zero input signal permitted in powerdown mode?

    Part Number: DS15BR401

When the DS15BR401TSQ is in powerdown mode, is it permitted to have the following input signals:

    • IN0+ = 0.6V or 1.2V
    • IN0- = 0.9V

Or must the input signals be at ground?

DS15BR401: No connect pin for replacement DS90LV804

    Part Number: DS15BR401

    Please let me confirm about NC pin of DS15BR401;

    【Background】

・At first, customer is designing DS90LV804, but they realized that termination resister should put external.

・Most compatible and external termination resister IC is DS15BR401, but below pins are difference.

     DS90LV804 DS15BR401

     1:GND :N/C

     17:GND :N/C

     18:GND :N/C

     19:VDD :N/C

     22:VDD :N/C

・Customer is already made circuit board, they can't big change and want not NC pin left open.

    【Question】

①Are these NC pin perfectly no connection from internal DS15BR401 circuit?

②About 19pin and 22pin for DS15BR401, are these pin should connect VDD?

I think that GND connection is no problem, is it correct?

③Just in case, are 1pin, 17pin, and 18pin connect to GND no problem?

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

    DS15BR401: The duration of pre-emphasis.

    Part Number: DS15BR401

    Hello,

Regarding to the pre-emphasis on DS15BR401, my customer is asking a question.

    (Question)

・On the duration of pre-emphasis(below), is it set as a specification?

My understand is that it is 1 bit(data rate) of transfer data.

    My understand is correct?

DS90LV804: failed to use 1.8V to control the LVDS buffer because internal termination.

    Part Number: DS90LV804

I wish to use 1.8V single-end signal to generate LVDS signals using the method in How to Use a 3.3-V LVDS Buffer as a Low-Voltage LVDS Driver (ti.com). But I just found the DS90LV804 has the internal termination which should not be used. is there any way that i can improve to make the DS90LV804 work well with that method? My board is ready, so i am looking for a solution to modify my board.

I tried to change the pull-up and pull-down resistors to 200ohm. The control signal is 1.8V 200MHz. Then I measured a -450mV to 450mV square wave between the DS90LV804 positive and negative inputs. i know the current consumption increase a lots, but the system power supply is enough. Is there any risk in my solution? Do I need to change 10nF capacitor to larger one or remove it?

another way is to replace the DS90LV804 to DS15BR401. But they are not pin to pin compatible. some GND and VDD pins of DS90LV804 are NC pins in DS15BR401. i checked several discussion in E2E form. one show that the NC pins connect noting in DS15BR401, It can replace the DS90LV804 directly. one show that NC pins are used for testing, it cannot replace the DS90LV804 directly. Could you clarify it again, which one make sense?
