  • RE: SN74LVC245A: Guidance to improve the SPI data transmission from MEMS sensor over 2m distance

The average data rate does not matter; what is the SPI clock frequency? Just using single-ended signals with buffers (e.g., SN74LVC125A, SN74HCS125) at both ends is possible. But if you expect a noisy environment or a ground shift between the two boards…

A serializer combines many slow channels into one fast channel. To transmit a single channel, what you want is just a transmitter and a receiver, e.g., DS90LV011A and DS90LV012A/DS90LT012A. What protocol are you going to use with your microcontroller…

  • RE: THVD2450: High power consumption

    Clemens Ladisch
    Clemens Ladisch
The THVD2450 and THVD2450V are different devices. For unidirectional signals, you do not need a termination resistor at the driver, so the load is lower. But to reduce power consumption for distances less than 10 m, do not use RS-422 but LVDS. Use drivers…

Hi Ishiwata-san, The section of teh datasheet you are referring to only references the input of DS90LV028A receiver device. DS90LV028A input is differential not single ended, LVDS differential receivers typically have built in fail safe for the open condition…

Hi Axel, You may find this document useful on learning LVDS however both devices will need external 100 ohm termination. SN65LVELT23 does have two channels. I recommend using DS90LV012A (single) or DS90LV028A (dual). https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snla187/snla187…
