Hi Mathias,
I notice in your Ra0 and Ra1 tables are very different.
I recommend using the GPCRA0 tool to optimize these values.
Were you able to capture a log file of the soc jump?

Diego
Part Number: BQ40Z80 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCRA0 , Hi, I’m trying to use GPCRA0 to generate gg file for bq40z80 gauge. The results have Qmax set to the actual mAh rating of the battery. With scaling factor set, I’m assuming Qmax should scale…
Hi Jasen,
Thanks for identifying which log file to look at.
Yes, we should definitely change to constant power if that is the case. I recommend using load mode =1 and load select = 1.
Looking at your Ra table it is completely different than the values…
Hi Peter,
Sorry for the confusion, The GPCRA0 tool with its instructions can be found in the link below. This will allow us to ensure that the resistance table values being seen are correct:

Hi Jack,
1) 2) 3) got it, thanks
4) thanks, and the .gg were generated throughout the discharge?
Plese use the GPCRA tool to optimize the resistance values. Then send a log file after changing the values.

Hi,
Just because this was a custom ChemID does not meant the Ra tables cannot be improved by using the GPCRa0 tool. I would think this issue could be fixed by running more discharge cycles to allow the Ra tables to learn the cell resistance or using the…
