Hey Cisco,
Have you checked that the hall power of 5V is applied on the EVM? This would need to be applied externally as the board only generates 3.3V so you need to switch the hall jumper to external and apply the voltage externally.
Best,

Hi Kailun,
I had initially assumed the sensors were removed by desoldering, but I now see that the customer cut the EVM board in order to remove the other sensors.
We do not recommend modifying the EVM board in this way. It is hard to tell if any…
Hello Fred,
Thanks for the details, in our tool the measurement is from the LCD hinge to the hall sensor center, but the distances from the magnet should be same since you they indicated there is no offset between the magnet and sensor center in that…
Part Number: MMWCAS-RF-EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWRL6432 , AWR2243 Tool/software: Hello, I have almost similar problem in measuring the distance. I followed the instruction in the user guide to set up the Cascade EVM. To configure the EVM…
Hi Ben,
Can you provide some mode details about the motor , Hall sensor type (open drain / push pll), voltage levels?
The tuning guide provides details about configuring the EVM, can you confirm if you done as per the procedure?
Also, are you able…
Part Number: BQ77216 Tool/software: Hello TI,
I’m designing a BMS for an EV battery pack. please find the specs specs and requests below. would appreciate recommended TI ICs/EVMs/app notes and any advice.
Key specs :
Pack: 48V / 60V (16S–19S)…
Hi Eyal,
The HALL routine is similar to trapezoidal control, so it may naturally be more noisy at certain motor speeds.
Eyal Kurz said: However, when switching to Hall-sensored FOC (enabling the MOTOR1_HALL and HALL_CAL flags), I’m experiencing significantly…
Hey VG,
Are there any major differences between the sensored 24V motor and the sensored 36V motor?
Have you measured the hall and input signals with he second motor to ensure correct commutation is taking place? If hall signals and inputs match…
Part Number: TMAG5231
For this example, we will emulate a mechanical hinge movement similar to what is used in consumer laptops for lid position sensing. Advantages of this implementation include small form factor design, and ease of assembly/implementation…
Hello Yoshikazu,
We currently do not have an ideal solution. Our hall sensors like the TMCS1126 have a differential to remove ambient filed. Our other hall sensor are design for position sensing and have properties ideal for magnet position sensing…
