Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC3114-Q1 , LDC2114 , LDC2112 , LDC3114 If I need to add illumination or cutouts in the surface of my inductive touch button, what design concerns should I keep in mind?
Part Number: LDC2114 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC3114 Hello,
Large difference in data size between LDC_Tools-ext49 and LDC_Tools-ext50
The data size of the new version (LDC_Tools-ext50) is about 1/4 of the data size of the old version (LDC_Tools…
Hi Clemens,
You can still use the COM layer. Just add the shunt capacitors and the common-mode choke as close to the COM pin as possible. Figure 33 in the LDC2114 datasheet shows an example layout. You can use Ccom as one of the recommended shunt capacitors…
Part Number: LDC2114 Hello Dear Forum,
I am trying to configure the registers of LDC2114, with my PIC18LF24K40 as Master as described in the datasheet. The communication protocol is I2C. I know the communication is working, since i can see the data…
Both options should help. Option 1 will help the most; however, it requires more components than option 2.
I recommend going with option 1. If your tests pass, then you can always remove the extra capacitors on the INx signals and retest.
Hello Clemens,
My apologies for not responding earlier. Yes, only muxing the SDA will work. If the part sees SCLK pulses without its address, it will ignore the I2C communications.

Hello,
I'm very sorry for my late response.
You're right, we just put the chokes in the IN-lines without changing sensor parameters.
Later we'll go in here deeper to determine the parameters.
Meanwhile we were measuring our system in an EMC…
Part Number: LDC2114 Hello,
When I reconnect LDC2114 EVM to PC, GUI loads the previous configuration of registers. Does LDC store the configured register value? Will it reset to default value when power off?
Thank you.
Part Number: LDC2114 Hello,
we were measuring our system (demonstrator of 4 inductive touch buttons) in an EMC laboratory.
We didn't have any problems with emission, but failed at radiated immunity.
We tested two setups: The first one with 0.3mm…
