    Thanks, You're right - that sounds like a lot of work. I will look into using the LM20136 (to get to 6A at 1.1V). It seems that if I need more current (say 12A), we cannot easily gang together switchers - and would need to find a bigger switcher.…

    Eli, If the 50mV or less output ripple voltage is important to you, you may want to look at another converter. TPS51315 uses output ripple voltage to directyly control switching so it requires a bit higher ripple voltage than some more standard parts…
