Part Number: LM2842XMK-ADJEV Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2841 This design started out with an LM2841, but due to increases in the current draw in SD cards it was necessary to switch to the 600mA LM2842X After using the online tools to calculate…
Part Number: LMR14203 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2841 Hello!
I designed a project that uses the LMR14203 converter. After mounting only the power supply components I noticed that, sometimes, after powering up the circuit, the output is short…
Part Number: LM2840 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2841 , , LM2736 , TPS5430 Hi,
I need a -12vdc output at about 50mA to drive some op-amps. I have a choice of Vin to be either unregulated 16vdc, 3.3vdc (from an LM2736 output) or 12vdc (from an LDO)…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR14203 , LM2841 Is this a bug in webench for some devices or are the values just more optimised?
For example, the inductor chosen by Webench for a LM2841 using parameters similar to the examples in the datasheet gives…
Part Number: PCF8574A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2841 I'm having a problem in my company which I think may be related to a latch-up condition.
The system which I'm debugging is composed of 1 MCU, 2 IO expanders (PCF8574A), LEDs and displays…
Yokota-san,
Please allow us some time to check this on the EVM to answer some of your questions.
As for the 3rd question, SHDN pin vs Current Limit, we do not recommend to use this method to adjust the current limit. I would use the appropriate part…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR14203 , LM2841 Dear specialist
Our customer has been considering LM2841 or LMR14203. Also our customer will make sure what is difference these devices. Could you please tell about above?
Best regards
Hello Jerry,
There are a few subtle differences. The sense resistance on teh part is the mosfet RdsON and the current sense gain on the LM2841 is actually 2. This means,
Ri = Rsns*Gain = 0.8*2 = 1.6. I had a mistake in one of my earlier messages and listed…
Hello Rahil,
you could use the LM2841 to generate +9V@300mA and the TPS84259 to generate -9V@300mA.
Furthermore I suggest you to use WEBENCH with Power Architect tool to generate power designs.
Regards,
Giuseppe

In my circuit , required output is 5V,150mA.My input voltage is 10v-42v. I plan to use LM317KC(TO-220) & UA7805(TO-220) .
Can you please comment…
