w.r.t Exposed Pad -
1. How it should be soldered?
2. what if the switching regulator exposed pad is not properly soldered? does it affect the function…
Just to note this issue is still ongoing.
We have now seen 3 more failures making 6 so far in last few months.
We unfortunately didn't record the info earlier but the latest 3 chip markings are

My customer is using LM2854 and they use tss =approx 1sec.
Therefore, Css is around 14uF (10uF+4.7uF)
Is this accpeptable?
Would you please let me know the max. value for Css?

Set the top feedback resistor to 150kohm (recommended value table 1 of the datasheet, page 18).
Set the bottom feedback resistor to 46.4kohm (this will get you 3.38V output).
