Part Number: LM5175 Hi expert,
My customer wants to use LM5175 in their USB type C application. They want to know why LM5175EVM-HP has limitation at Vin from 6V to 36V. What limits the Vin minimum and maximum so that it cannot reach IC spec. 3.5V…
Part Number: LM5175EVM-HP Hi,
I received the following question from my customer.
The switching frequency decrease when the low dropout as follows;
※ The extracting from ": SNVU465"
In this case, does the switching frequency depend on the…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5175EVM-HP , LM5175 I notice on the EVM and in the EVM schematic there are callouts and pads for additional FETs and snubbers. My customer's requirement is 20A at 14V output, 8-28V input. Will the 5175 FET drive capability…
Part Number: LM5175-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5175EVM Tool/software: Hello Dear All.
I would like to create our circuit with reference to LM5175EVM, However, I don't know how to select D1 and D2 of LM5175EVM, because they are not listed…
Hi Sid,
about the Ground planes - let me describe that way:
You are sitting on a park bench close to a road, with a hot well smelling cup of coffee. Enjoying the silence and listing to the birds in the tree next to the bench.
Suddenly a 40t MAC…
Hi Pang, I'd recommend to check LM5176 which is synchronous 4-switch buck boost controller. LM5176 is developed as a higher power version of LM5118 and upgraded version of LM5175. Also please check the LM5175 high power design as an example at www.ti…
Hi S ébastien,
Thanks for reaching out via e2e. Adjusting the output voltage with an MCU is possible by using a TRIM resistor, as described in the LM5175EVM-HD user guide (take a look at the schematic, see detail in the picture below). In order to compute…
Finally downloaded the LM5175EVM-HD design files. Modified the PCB from 6 layers to 4 and changed the mosfets, shunt and coil footprint. Released in production some samples. Lets see, will update results once will receive.
Hi Ali,
It is not appropriate for me to openly recommend a competition's part on e2e. May I suggest you to refer to the LM5175EVM's FET selection?

Hi Sakthi,
Next to the datasheet, we also have EVM boards that are a good reference for testing and designing similar application. They might give you additional insights in the behavior and functioning of the device. https://www.ti.com/tool/LM5175EVM…
