both is ok, I suggest use both capacitor to decrese the input ripple. the input rippple is related to ESR and input power, so low ESR capacitor is recommend.
and in the same time, it also need to provide power, so we need put 47 uF to 100 uF capacit…
Part Number: LMR33640 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS5420 , TPS54331 Hello,
Our customer is looking for a DCDC converter to meet following spec, and found out LMR33640 is the best. However I do not know LMR33640 can support wave soldering. Could you…
Part Number: LMR33640 Hello,
Our customer evaluated LMR33640 in TI EVM and it works successfully. His concern is thermal management since his design has to be done by 2 layer PCB rather than 4 layer PCB in the EVM. Could you suggest if you have any idea…
Part Number: LMR33640 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54540 Hi Team,
My customer wants to replace tps54540 with LMR33640.Any things should take into consideration?
Thanks and regards
Part Number: LMR33640 Hi,
this app note says that a typical value for the inductor current ripple (ΔIL) as 30% of the output current. www.ti.com/.../snva856a.pdf but according to some boost converter , the ratio is determined to the average inductor…
Part Number: LMR33640 According to the topological structure of IBB in SNVA856A document, the engineer designed the negative voltage circuit with input 12V and output -5V with LMR33640, and built the actual circuit with the hole board, but no negative…
Part Number: LMR33640 Hello, I'm Marco from Italy. I have a board designed with this part, LMR33640, I've already put it in production last year, and is a functional board, tested and approved. Problem is that the part is not available. There is some…
Part Number: LMR33640 Hi team,
My customer wonders if it is allowed to reduce VCC capacitor from 1uF to 0.1uF for a size and cost reason.
I know it is not recommended in the DS.
Could you please let me know the risk to reduce VCC capacitor?
Regards,

Part Number: LMR33640 Hi team,
My customer is working on LMR33640 layout design. They need to place the inductor on the bottom layer to save the PCB area.
Other components are placed on the top layer.
They are going to make the plane from the converter…
