I'm going to use LMS8117A to make a system that regulates to 3.3V by receiving 3.6V. But The difference between the input and output voltages is not large, so…
Part Number: LMS8117A Hi team,
LMS8117A Temperature Range is 0°C to 125°C in datasheet, but in Figure 6. Temperature stability (attachment)it has 0.4% of ourput voltage changes in -50 degree.how to explain this ?
Is it possible to revise datasheet…

Hi Team, Can we use an aluminum electrolytic for output capacitor? I believe we can use it however would like to confirm just in case. Best Regards, Yaita
Hi Sergio,
We do not have spice model for this part.
Here is the list of all available models within TI: webench.ti.com/.../
On that, you can search for comparable part that hopefully you can use for your simulation purpose.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMS8117A Hello,
I'm using LMS8117A regulator with 10µ tantalum as input C, and 22µ tantalum as output C.
I want change the tantalum C to ceramic MLCC. Is this possible?
Many thanks for the answers
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMS8117A Hello,
I am Using the LDO for 5V to 3.3V(LMS8117A) Conversion to provide input to micro Controller. In the datasheet the recommended output capacitance is 10uf tantalum.
But in my application i wanted to go…
Hi Ian,
We will need a few back and forth discussions to reach a conclusion on this LDO problem. It may be helpful to see the schematic of your design so far. I wouldn't need the boost converter, just the post regulation schematic.
The floating reference…
