Part Number: LP2954 Hi Team, My customer considers to use LP2954IM (SOIC package). The datasheet shows shutdown current is almost the same as supply current (IL=1mA). Is it typo? - shutdown current - supply current (IL=1mA) I believe shutdown current…

The function of LP2954AIMX (SOIC8) and LP2952 (SOIC16) seems to be very similar. The LP2952 implements a crowbar function to pull down the output quickly when shutdown is activated. Is this also true for the LP2954AIMX?

I have a similar problem with the LP2954 fixed 5 V version. I was also using ceramic capacitors, and found that at power up when the input steps from off to 24 V, the output overshoots to 11 V before dropping back into regulation. I was able to reduce…

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP2954 There is no pinout in the TI datasheet for the LP2954 (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/snvs096c/snvs096c.pdf). I had to find an old National datasheet to get the pinout for the 8-pin SOIC device. Is TI planning to update…

Hi Andy, The closest we have today is the LP2954AIMX/NOPB with 250mA output. This is P2P but the shutdown pin has inverse logic, LP2951 is active high where LP2954 is active low. Hope this helps!
