Part Number: MCT8316Z-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MCT8316Z , DRV10983 , MCT8316A HI TI
1. DRV10983 controls the HALL motor with no noise, while MCT8316Z controls with noise. Comparing the motor phase current waveforms of the two, the motor phase…
Part Number: MCT8316Z-Q1 Hello,
From datasheet of MCT8316Z-Q1, the maximum current limit is 8A with AVDD/2-0.4V on ILIM pin. Does this happened only with GAIN = 0.15V/A? And what will happen if the voltage on ILIM pin less than AVDD/2-0.4V? Thanks!

Vishnu,
I just want to know how much greater the braking torque of MCF8316A than MCT8316Z under the same condition,so that I can evaluate whether replacing MCT8316Z with MCF8316A can solve the problem of my current use of MCT8316Z z-axis being unable…
Part Number: MCT8316Z Hi, Table 8-5 in the datasheet for the MCT8316Z shows the wrong unit for the resistor for the buck regulator. Should it be Ω, kΩ?
Thank you
Part Number: MCT8316Z
Hi,
I'm using MCT8316ZR driver IC (SPI Variant) to drive my BLDC motor. I'm using digital Hall sensor (5V supply) and it is connected as open drain output, so added pull-up resistor with 5V supply.
Are HPA, HPB, HPC pins…
Part Number: MCT8316Z I have asked following question by customer. Can you please help?
I have a question about MCT8316ZT. MCT8316Z has the function of generating power using a step down regulator. Is there a recommended circuit when not using this feature…
Part Number: MCT8316Z Some questions concerning the MCT8316Z (BLDC Driver) • "T" (HW) Vs. "R" (SPI) configuration o In the "R" the Direction is defines through SPI while the PWM still managed through HW pin. Why? is it…
Part Number: MCT8316Z We want the internal AVDD LDO regulator to be powered from the BULK regulator's output voltage of 5v. Our design includes a regulated 5v source. Is it possible to connect this source to the FB_BK input and deactivate the buck…
Hi Andreas,
Your current probably is not controlled and is set just by (blanking time/PWM period)xVM.
Please, take a look on Note on page 48 and 14 where tBLANK = 5us. of MCT8316Z Datasheet.
Regards,
Grzegorz
