Part Number: MCT8316Z Hello,
We are planning on not using the DRVOFF pin on the MCT8316Z but had a couple of questions first
When is the DRVOFF useful in an application?
Can this functionality be achieved via another method? Driving nSLEEP or PWM low…
Part Number: MCT8316Z Hello, we are using the MCT8316Z0R.
Our team noticed that the brake function can be enabled using both a hardware pin and setting a register over SPI.
Can you confirm that the brake pin has no use in the case that we use SPI? Are…
Part Number: MCT8316Z Hello, the team is using the MCT8316Z with digital hall inputs.
Section 8.3.2 and Figure 8-4 recommends that HNX pins are left floating.
However, section 9.2.2 in the datasheet recommends that you bias the HNX pin with AVDD/2.
Why…
Hi Jayam,
Good point, DLY_TARGET is part of the delay compensation function in MCT8316Z. Are you using SPI or H/W device? This is disabled in H/W device (MCT8316Z0T) but is adjustable in SPI device. (MCT8316Z0R)
If using MCT8316Z0R, delay compensation…
Hi Imran,
Since we discussed your schematic offline I will go ahead and close this thread. If you have further questions, feel free to click on "Ask a related question".

Part Number: MCT8316Z Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8353F we’re using TI’s PMCT8316Z0TRGFR driver IC in one of our BLDC board. I’m working on DFMEA of this board.
Could you please send me the failure modes of the above mentioned…
Part Number: MCT8316Z I have a new design that is using the MCT8316Z, but do not see stock on this at TI or anywhere else. Please let me know if someone can line me up with 12 samples of the MCT8316Z for my Engineering builds.
Thank you,
Randy Holmber…
