Part Number: TLV320ADC3120 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1821 , PCM1820 , TLV320ADC5120 , TLV320ADC6120 Hi experts,
My customer is interested in PCM1821 or PCM1820 for his headphone system because it is controlled by pin control. But he is also interested…
Hi,
There are new generation ADCs with improvements on mentioned functions within the TLV320ADCx120 family and PCM1820 but none of which have miniDSP integrated ADC3101 is the only one.

Hello Ravindra,
Thank you for reaching out. As you have noticed, the PCM1821 does not support the Dynamic Range Enhancer (DRE). The DRE monitors the incoming signal amplitude and accordingly adjusts the internal DRE amplifier gain automatically (see sections…

Hi Zak,
you are right. I/F: I2S slave mode Fs=LRCLK=9258Hz BCLK=32*fs=296.256kHz bit(L/R): 16bit/16bit
I checked TLV320ADC3100 and it is I2C ctl type but I'm looking for HW ctl type. It looks PCM1820 supports customer rquirement. PCM1820 has internal PLL…
I found a post asking the same question about the PCM1820 and I assume the "no" answer is the same.
Does the PCM1821 only support balanced inputs or can 2 arbitrary inputs be applied to INxP and INxM?
Would there be any problem with using op…
Hello Collin,
Let me add measurement result from customer side.
They have measured PCM1808, PCM1820, PCM1840, PCM1860 and PCM5140. The input sine wave is 20Hz/1kHz/15kHz @ Fs=48kHz and 20Hz/40Hz/1kHz/2kHz/15kHz/30kHz @ Fs=96kHz.
They didn't observe crosstalk…
Part Number: PCM1821 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1822 Hi, I have a design in which I've routed two single-ended audio lines into the INxP channels of the differential inputs on a PCM1821:s. The reason for this design is that I want to convert…
Part Number: PCM1821 Hi team,
Typical value of input impedance is 10kHz as the datasheet. Could you share the distribution or similar one? Is the distortion changed by Fs?
Best regards, koyo
