Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2706 , DIT4096 , PCM2902B Is there support for Windows CE6 for the PCM27xx series devices? Also, is I2S input possible for the PCM2706/7 device so that bi-directional communication can be enabled?
Hi, I know that is is really strange. About the input beeing too small one of my alternative sources is a PCM2706 is is directly connected to the I2S bus of the TAS. I bypassed the PCM9211. The USB chip is connected to a windows machine, volume is set at…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2706 We are having continued issues with a prototype design using these parts.
The first issue seems to be resolved by connecting pin 3 (Host) to 3V3 vs ground as stipulated in the data sheet

Dear Sam,
Thank you for your answer.
My bad. The problem was my I2C writing procedure for the different registers and their values. So my TAS3251 configuration was erroneous. As a consequence I had clock errors.
However to your aswer, yes I had connected…

Hi Wiky,
Yes, the PCM2706 is a USB DAC, it does not have an ADC so it is not a CODEC and cannot record to USB. If you want that functionality, you should look at PCM29xx devices like the PCM2906.
Best,
