Part Number: UCC2897A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27511 , PMP10861 HI TI experts,
In PMP10861 reference design schematic, UCC27511 low side gate driver is used. What's the purpose of these components? How to calculate the resistor value?
Hi Aidrian,
The lower input voltage of 9V can be designed around by using a simple voltage doubler circuit like we do on this UCC2897a, active clamp forward.
The LM5036 has an internal auxiliary bias circuit that may require more energy so this voltage…
Hi Peter,
We also see PMP10861 looks more suitable.
The requirement as below, do you think PMP10861 can meet below configuration?
1. Input : 10.8V ~ 26.4Vdc
2. Output : 24.5Vdc : 4A
Thanks!

Hi Rock,
Thanks for reaching out. This device was primarily targeted for AC/DC applications but would also work for isolated DC/DC. That being said, keep in mind the VDD turn on threshold is 17.5V so it would not be a good fit for low voltage DC input…
