Part Number: PMP21278 Hello team,
I received a question from my customer about Buck/boost controller. I would appreciate if you could give us some advice about it.
The customer is willing to use a buck/boost controller for their system and thought that…

Part Number: CSD88599Q5DC Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP21278 , Hi team,
My customer is thinking of implementing this reference design in their system, but the FETs are pretty pricey.
Can the above FET module replace the four FETs on the input stage…
Hi Robert
sorry, unfortunately we do not have and EVM matching your spec right now.
But you may use this reference design as a starting point: (it is based on the EVM)

Hi Stefan,
I chose the 2.2 uH since it was used on the PMP21278 reference design from TI. I switched out to use a 6.8 uH inductor but it seems some other components need to be changed since the part wont start up and the output voltage isn't being regulated…
Hi Brian,
LM5176-Q1 do not have a specified max output current.
Generally, the max output current is limited by
the gate driver strength (2A for LM5176-Q1)
voltage stress of SW pins (-5~65V for 20ns transient).
We have 12V/25A a reference design similar…
Hello Shuai,
That's a very large range for Vin and Vout.
I found a reference design for for a 4-switch buck-boost that is very close to those requirements: PMP21278 .
Vin = 9V to 50V, Vout = 12V, Iout = 25A.
There is also a design for USB-C at 20V…
Part Number: LM5176-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP21278 Hello Team,
My customer started to evaluate LM5176-Q1 for super capacitor charging application after built their proto board based on our PMP21278 reference design and their schematic is almost…
Hello Gareth,
Do you mean that this voltage drop happens even with no load attached to the output?
The capacitor calculation in the tool gives a start point, but a calculation tool is not able to finalize a system. Therefore I recommend to check the transition…
