UCC28070 doesn't support interleaved totem pole PFC but there is a AC bridgeless ref design available: www.ti.com/.../PMP40261
but it's not AC bridgeless !
Hello Venkatesh,
The loss doubles because the total output power doubled. The ratio of loss to output power stays the same, so system efficiency stays the same.
I mentioned the additional loss because it will need additional cooling and revised packaging…
Part Number: UCC28070 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP40261 Hi....
Can I get the newer version of schematic Altium or OrCAD Schematic file for UCC28070 Interleaved PFC... Thanks
Hello Gabriel
Question 1: The UCC28070 requires a bias supply for VCC but this supply does not have to be external. The PMP40261 reference design demonstrates this. Here, the UCC28070 bias uses a 12V rail from the current sense winding. There is also voltage…
Hi Harish,
We have carried out detailed design comparison and correction according to the PDF you gave before, but there are still a few points that we do not understand:
1. What does gm and △Vea mean in the picture below? How to get a value?
2. In the…
Hi Selvam,
Unfortunately, we do not have an EVM with and isolated bridgeless PFC.
This is a reference design for a bridgeless PFC, but it is non-isolated: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP40261
The following app note describes how to use our UCC28070 PFC controller…
Hi Jimmy,
Unfortunately, TI currently does not have a reference design for the UCC28070x above 800W.
There is an 800W design for the UCC28070: www.ti.com/.../PMP40261 . (Note that the A and non-A versions of this product are essentially the same. The difference…
Hi, Jimmy
Traditional boost PFC are suggested to be under 4kW with >180VAC input voltage, if the input voltage is even lower or the power rating >4kW, suggest to design with interleaved boost PFC topology, to reduce the current stress and power loss…
Hi, Juliaa
PMP4311 is very old reference design, there is no such data you required. There is another 800W reference design PMP40261, there are ITHD data for different input voltage and output load. here is link of PMP40261. BTW, PMP40261 is bridgeless…
