Hello Haiwen, Thanks for using the e2e forum. It is possible to use a boost controller like TPS40210 or LM5156 for this. A reference design is given here: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9624 There are already some questions on this design within the e2e…

Hi Punith, in case you have not already entered another ticket: you can use e.g. the TPS40210 or LM5155/LM5156 with the approach as shown in this reference design: PMP9624 reference design | TI.com Best regards, Stefan

Dear Sir, Please refer to SLVA985 and PMP9624 for a referecne. For the SLVA985, you just need to change TPS61088-Q to TPS61175 or TPS61178.

Hi Ottey, The 3A output current is too high for TPS55340 as a inverted SEPIC regulator because the current limit of TPS55340 is 5A. Here is another option: http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9624 By configuring TPS55340 as a negative input buck regulator…

PMP9624 uses discrete components, which is hard for a beginner like me. It would be of great value if TI had any plans in releasing a SIMPLE or SWIFT power switches which accept negative input and produce bucked/boost negative output. Thanks!

Byliu, We have PMP9624 which uses TPS40210 to converter -18VIN (up to -50VIN) down to -3.3VOUT. This is a good starting point for your design. We do not have much content on negative input to negative output regulators but this PMP should be a good…
