Part Number: PMP9643 Hello,
I have been going through the schematic of this power supply but got confused as the transformer is positioned after the rectifier. Can you please clarify this point?
Do you have any transform-less power supply reference…

Hi Ammar,
1. Power Supply Design for TIDA-00386 is based on another reference design PMP9643 http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9643 .
You should find this document ( http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu351/tidu351.pdf ) helpful in calculating the power factor. …
Hi Manu,
I had a look at PMP9643, but that has a slightly lower power than I required, everything else is great. If I can simply increase the output power of PMP9643 from 65W to about 100W, that would exactly fit the requirement.
I follow very much…
Hi Sahil / Praveen,
In the TI reference designs, there's a shield "winding", especially looking at PMP9643. I think the shield winding helps reduce the capacitance between the primary and secondary, I suppose. Wonder whether adding such a setup would…
Hi Devang,
Power Supply Design for TIDA00386 is based on another reference design PMP9643 http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP9643 .
Details about transformer design can be found under folder for this design http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu354/tidu354.pdf .
Eric,
This design is somewhat close: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00702
Or this:

Hi Doug,
I have a couple of reference designs that may be of interest to you. These designs are 24V which tends to be a more common power supply voltage than 36V in the market place.
These designs are rated to 265Vac but they may have enough margin…

Hi,
The UCC28740 is designed for power levels in the range of 5W to 40W approximately. For higher power flyback designs we recommend the LM5023 or the UCC28630 devices.
There is 65W nominal 130W maximum 24V design for the UCC28630, http://www.ti…
