Here's the related schematic, but you need to make some change on the output voltage dividing resistor setting. For tthe detailed information , you can refer to the refernce design PMP9772..
Dear Saumil,
Since the charge pump output is added at the Vin pin, and the Vin's maximum stress can be 12V, so it is sure to be OK!
This is just a small analog circuit. Which is very commonly used in the power supply design.
For the TPS61088, its…
The reference design" www.ti.com/.../PMP9772" is similar to the requirement, but smaller output current. maybe we can try two TPS61088 in parallel to achieve 2A output.
Hi Peiyuanqing,
We have TPS61021A which can work with 0.5V-2.5V input voltage range and is capable of outputting 3.8V/1A from 1.8V. Do you want the device to output 1A from the input voltage down to 0.5V?. If the answer is yes, you need a much higher…
If you want to directly use TPS61021A, then you need to low the output voltage to 4V. Thus the TPS61021A is just fit for your application.
If you can't low the output voltage to 4V, must have a 5V output, then you can refer to the TI design PMP9772…
we don't have a device that can support this output power for 0.5V input. you can use two IC solution. a TPS610987 generating 4.3V to power the TPS61088 VIN pin, and TPS61088 is used for the main power converting. as the reference design " www.ti.com…
You can refer to the TI design PMP9772 (TLV61220+TPS61088). As the peak indcutor current is about 2.8A, so you can use (TLV61220+TPS61089) . This combination has the same concept as PMP9772
Hi Micah,
The chip can be set with the separate supply, but LMR64010 is old chip, TPS61170 is relatively new. You can refer to the below app note and design which extends the input voltage.

BTW, if the package is…
