  • RE: TPS61089: TPS61089 BOOST CONVERTER

    Helen chen

Dear Sir, You need to add a disconnect MOSFET(or load switch) at the output side. You can refer to the TI design PMP9779 for a reference. So you can also choose a TI part with load disconnect function, like TPS61022.

    Helen chen
Dear Sir, As TPS55340 doesn't has short circuit function, so extra component must be added. Please refer to the TI design PMP9779. The concept will be similar.

  • RE: TPS61088: How to be down Vout to 0V

    Helen chen
    Helen chen
    Resolved
Dear Sir, Since the TPS61088 upper side MOSFET has a body diode, so even EN is low, the Vout can't be zero, it is around Vout=Vin-Vf, where Vf is the voltage drop across the body diode. You can add a MOSFET at the output side to disconnect the load…

Hi Yusuke, Please check the TI reference design PMP9779 and app note SLVA819. If you think the circuit is too complex, short circuit proteciton is not needed and you just need input output disconnect before startup, then I can recommend to you another…
