Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH08000W Team,
I am using the TI Application Report SLTA055 as reference when trying to figure out where to place components.
A few things of note:
Page 2, Section 1.1, talks about keeping the input ceramic caps…
MASUMI:
I do not understand the question on PTH08000W.
Can you send me your application schematic with input and output capacitors? Is the he inhibit pin or track pin used in this application?
How many PTH08000W are used in this application ?
…
The PTH08000W can be overstressed if the inhibit pin does not have a dedicated open drain FET for controlling on-off function. The unit most likely has a short on the Vout bus to ground.
Or the input bus(+) had a high voltage transient or the input…
Vijetha;
PTH08000W maximum output capacitance limits are located in the product specification :
In electrical characteristics under external output capacitance the following limits apply.
1. Ceramic capacitance type maximum = 220µF
2. Non ceramic…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH08000W , PTR08060W I'm trying to design a board that needs multiple voltages, and I've settled on some of TI's PTx series, since it seems that they're going to be pretty straightforward to implement. My current design…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH08000W , PTN78020W , PTH08080W , PTN78020H , PTN78000W I need a sample of one of these modules but when i add a product to my sample cart I cannot change the quantity of modules (only appears the zero number)
I have…
Joe:
The PTH08000W must have a dedicated inhibit pin control FET for each module.
The inhibit pins must not be connected together. The PTH modules have their own internal pull-up. Do not place an external pull-up to this pin.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH08000W Hi,
I require a power module to supply Vo=1v with Vin=5V or 12V (should work with both). The max current is about 3A.
I thought of usin TI's PTH08T220, though i found out that in case of Vo=1V, the maximu…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2101 , PTH08000W I have a customer using TPS2101.
Problem: Upon shutdown of the our power module , PTH08000W, the output of 3.3V falls below ground for some period of time. This "dipping" voltage is seen at the…
Hello,
The UCC3806 is a dual output controller though it can be used in a flyback where only one of the outputs are used to drive the switch it might be better to choose a single output controller. Look at page 46 of the attached under General Purpose…
