Hi Sulyn,
I would recommend taking a look at our reference design for seven-segment driving using the SN74HC595B and the SN74LVC244A available here:

Hello Ray,
Do you need parallel load, parallel out shift registers, or just a serial in, parallel out shift register would work?
Typically we recommend the SN74HC595 , but we certainly have a large number of shift registers: http://www.ti.com/product/s…
Hi,
Due to the cost concern, do you think customer can use two SN74HC595B chips to replace one SN74LS674DW? How will you propose to do in schematics design?
Thanks!
Antony
Hi Eli ,
I have filtered low voltage shift registers in the link below :
www.ti.com/.../compare
Although this is out of spec range for you , there is sn74HC595B which is offered in smallest package in the industry currently 2.5mm*2.5mm .
Hi John ,
I do not have the char data to support the 3.3V vs Iout case ,however , I see the Vout vs Iout data on 2V case which could source 2mA and maintain >1.7V at 25C .
what is the desired source current to be supported and the min voh to be maintained…
