Calum, No difference. Click on the QUALITY tab: www.ti.com/product/SN74LVC8T245/quality , then View . You'll see the STD non-G4 part was converted to RoHS in 2004, so prior to this date, it was NOT RoHS compliant. If you have parts made prior to 2004…

Hi Shai, The TXS0108 (or TXS family) is not a active buffered device with current drive. It has one-shot edge accelerator which provides AC drive during the rise/fall edges, however , it cannot provide a constant DC drive as your application needs…

There are level shifters and buffers with TTL-compatible inputs, but only for one channel (SN74AHCT1G125, SN74LV1T34, SN74LVC1T45), two channels (SN74LVC2T45), or eight channels (SN74LVC8T245).

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC8T245 Hello, I am looking at using TPS7A4701 to power a VOUTA bus for a digital IO board (utilizing SN74LVC8T245). I want to be able to software program the output bus to be 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, or 5V. To be able…

Kim, If you're using the Intel Edison's 1.8V native IO, then I would definitely use a level shifter raise the high level voltage. Note that you could use a different level shifter because the communication doesn't need to be bi-directional like…

    So what's the recommended level-shifter in this application? The max bitrate = 0.192 * 32 * 8 = 49.152 (Mbps) Will any of SN74AVCH4T245, SN74AVC4T245, and SN74LVC8T245 work? Thanks.

Hello Joseph, The digital logic analyser that we are using does not gives us exact frequency. But the frequency remains within the range 32.742Khz to 32.786KHz. This same setup we used with SN74LVC8T245 logic translator and it worked perfectly. But…

Hello, The SN74AVC4T245 will not operate at 5V, only up to 3.6V. Sorry, I was mistaken about the LVC4T245, we do not have a 4 bit LVC translator. You could use two 2-bit SN74LVC2T45 translators, or a single 8-bit SN74LVC8T245.
