Part Number: TCA4311A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA4311 , TCA9511A , We have a case that uses TCA4311. We get the test waveform close to TCA4311 and find that SCL low level have fluctuates, Sometimes it goes over 0.6V, and we're worried about triggering…
Part Number: TCA4311 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , TCA9511A Hello:
I would like to consult you about the usage of TCA4311 chip. As shown IN the figure below, if I want to do hot plug and unplug, should my PSU PMbus connect IN or OUT of the chip? …
Part Number: TCA4311 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9511A , Hi Sir,
We design TCA4311 enable when power on directly as below diagram we have in our datasheet.
My customer is asking if they unplug the HOST board, what the behavior in JBT side TCA4311…
Part Number: TCA4311 Hi Sir,
Below is my customer's design topology with TCA4311.
When they measurement the waveform in the test point, we will see the little pulse no matter I use TCA4311 or TCA9511 in the same place.
But we bypass TCA4311, the pulse…

Hello,
I designed a project to use the TCA4311 as a long distance bus buffer, however, after reading it seems this might have been a sub.optimal choice.
Non the less, the boards…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA4311 , TCA4311A , PCA9306 , TCA9517 Hi Sir,
customer supply a 3.3V on VCC pin and the SCLOUT/SDAOUT will be pull up to 3V and the other side will be 5V pull up on SCLIN/SCLOUT.
Is that ok for TCA4311 to support?
Thanks, …
Matsumoto-san,
Thanks for the question.
1) The TCA4311 is more like a series switch type, but has additional circuitry around it (rise time accelerators, precharge circuits, etc). Fundamentally, it is a series switch that connects both sides.
The TCA9517…
Hi Bobby,
Thank you for pointing this out. I had forgotten that I asked our vendor to mount TCA4311 instead of TCA4307 due to parts shortage.
After changing to TCA4307, this phenomenon was resolved.
I sincerely apologize for my misunderstanding.

Hi Liz,
I just wanted to first point out that I do not recommend using the TCA4311. I always recommend to go with the or upgrade to TCA4307 which comes with the stuck bus recovery feature. Or you could go with the TCA9511 which is just an updated version…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA4311 , TCA4311A Hi, I am experiencing an issue with the TCA4311 IC. The problem is that it does not propagate the ACK from the input to the output. I have attached a trace illustrating the issue. The green trace is the…
