I am really sorry, the design I referred to was the TIDA-00717 reference design for passive balancing and not the one with active balancing. I am facing this issue in testing that design (extended to stacked up ICs) on hardware.

There are many good documents and references in the pl455 datasheet application section, as well as a design considerations app note.
For a layout, please look at TIDA-00817 and TIDA-00717 for a reference.

The pl455 will work with LiFePO4. Just make sure the minimum operating voltage does not drop below 12V.
