Part Number: BQ2970 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00881 Can anyone tell me what is a purpose of this R20-820mOhm Resisotor in BQ29707 battery protection IC? I have taken this reference design from TI App note: TIDA-00881. I am unable to understand…
Part Number: BQ51013B Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00881 Hello,
I made my board with a BQ51013B.
All the schematic is manly base on the TIDA-00881. I used the same Rx Coil (Wurth 760308101214) to can copy value for all capacitor around the…
There are several TI reference designs available that might be helpful for this case. I just looked at this one that has similar current levels to your use case: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00881
It looks like they use the same FETs as the EVM, but…
Thanks for your help.
I found the design reference for the 19mm coil, which seems a good size for my project.

What about the transmitter side?
Which solution would you recommend so I could use a coil with the same dimensions…
Francesco,
PCB coils have been used, but in general tend to be lower efficiency. TIDA-00668 is an example of a booster pack made with the bq51003 using a PCB coil. Compare it to TIDA-00881 which uses a traditional coil.
The TIDA-00415 uses a 20mm…
