When OFF pin is pulled high and LM5050-1 is turned off, Iq current is still high and in order to reduce it, we recommend to use a MOSFET from IC GND to system GND to isolate the GND to reduce Iq.

LM74700-Q1 can be used in place of LM5050-1 and will be preferred over LM5050-1 for reverse polarity protection.
LM5050-1 requires external discrete components to provide reverse polarity protection ( and low Iq shutdown current).

To reduce the quiescent current, there is no issue in disconnecting the Vdd pin from power rail (C or A) with a swtich.
However, there will be currents through A, C pins and the external programming resistors for UVLO and OVP.
