Because of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S., TI E2E™ design support forum responses may be delayed from November 25 through December 2. Thank you for your patience.
Part Number: DAC8740H Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-060020 Tool/software: TIDA-060020 is the reference circuit for the input scenario while TIDA-01504 is the same for the output configuration. I was tasked to potentially implement both for greatly…
Part Number: ADS1261 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-060020 Hi,
What should I do to use single ended 10 channels of ADS1261.
According to related thread, we should use one of the inputs to connection of gnd. Can I use AINCOM pin for gnd connection…
Hi Monisha,
Yes, the ADS131E08 supports daisy-chain configurations.
May I ask why you chose the ADS131E08? Do you require simultaneous sampling?
I realize now that you may not be trying to decode the FSK signals with our device, but rather measure the…
Part Number: DAC8740H Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-060020 Hi,
Application: HART Demodulation at PLC analog input module
Issue: Wrong carrier detection and demodulation signal appears occasionally.

Part Number: DAC8742H Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-060020 Hi,
We are using DAC8742H HART Modem with 4-20mA receiver circuit.
The HART Output is coupled to the 4-20mA analog input circuitry.
We are referring TI Designs: TIDA-060020.
In this application…
Hi Remya,
Ultimately, it does not make too much of an impact, but I recommend you place the 22nF cap before the coupling capacitor. We have a few reference designs that are HART certified which we put the cap before the coupling capacitor.

Renan,
I'm not sure why the schematics are different. It's possible that one or the other was used to accommodate changes from HART and Fieldbus/PROFIBUS, or if we had made some changes in the schematic to tighten up the EVM for HART certification.…
HI Shinu,
thanks for contacting us via e2e regarding this customer inquiry. Please find my answers below.
1) An open circuit is detected by reading 0V (due to 0mA) from the shunt. This violates the requirement of having at least a 4mA current and can be…
