TLC5941-Q1 is serial interface using shift registers solution to write and read the registers. It is different from Address + Data SPI solution. There are detailed registers write and read time diagram in the datasheet. You can refer to the datasheet…
There is no auto repeat mode inside TLC5941-Q1, if you want such feature, i would recommend TLC6C5724-Q1.
For TLC5941-Q1, if you input continuous GSCLK, BLANK pin needs to be togged periodically to reset the GSCLK counter, then realize PWM output.
Part Number: TLC5941-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC6C5724-Q1 I want to use the PWM outputs of the TLC5941-Q1 to drive several TI DRV-8881Ps for DC motor control. Is this an anticipated application of this device? Any anticipated problems? What…
Hi Julien,
May I know the target application? To be frankly, the TLC5941-Q1 EVM is not available any more. But if you want to get more information on the schematic and layout, you can contact TI sales for support.
Part Number: TLC5941-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5941 Dear team,
Do we have some C sample code to ease the development around TLC5941 ?
Thank you very much!
Best regards,

If you plan to use TLC5941-Q1, we do not recommend to use in this way, because there is no such description in the TLC5941-Q1 datasheet. But you can definitely use this in TLC5940.
Part Number: TLC5941-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5941 I got a question from a customer using TLC5941-q1. Their question is below:
"TLC5941 LED driver have some questions about it; not sure if he is getting the right data output from the led…
Part Number: TLC5941-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5941 HI, ALL:
As title, may I use two outs pin to increase LED current??
Example:
parallel out1 and out2 and connect to LED string.
is it ok for TLC5941? any side effect with this…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5941-Q1 , TLC5941 Is the automotive version the exact same chip but binned/tested at higher temps? I notice that the Q1 datasheet suggests the nominal maximum current be 60mA... is this only to meet the higher operating…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5941-Q1 , TLC5941 For the TLC5941-Q1, if several of the outputs on the I/C are unused, should these be "no connects" or do you need to do something else to those pins? Thanks in advance.
