Part Number: TLC5954 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5945 , TLC69601 , LP5860 Hello,
What bit-depth is the TLC5954 capable of? I.e. how many colors is it capable of displaying, per LED?
If the bit-depth of the TLC5954 is not at least 24-bit... is there…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5945 Hello,
I'm interresting by the TLC5945 for a new design.
I want to supply 7 LED in series, so 7 * Vf = 7 * 3.2V = 22.4V, that's why I need to use a LED power supply voltage of 24VDC.
I read in the datasheet…
Hello Picca-san,
It's no problem for driveability of TLC5951 between IC to IC if SCK can keep a timing on data sheet.
But SCK timing is depend on controller driveability , PCB layout or line capacitor on PCB board whether it need buffer or not for connect…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5945 , TLC59711 , TLC5971 , AM3703 Hi,
I am planning to use TLC5945 for driving my LEDs (basically I have 36 LEDs - 12 each for Red, Blue and White).
I need a few clarifications regarding working of this chip
As per…

Hi, David,
Sorry but I failed to unlock that thread.
If you want to disable LOD you can try TLC5945 or TLC59461.
These are PIN compatible devices and won't turn LED off even LOD is detected.
Thanks.

Kenneth
Hello Kenneth,
After long time we made test in thermal chamber within current up to 70ma. It seemed that thermal event did not appear. I think that is appropriate layout with a lot of polygon and heatspreader. After counting power dissipation everything…
Hello Chuck,
Let me try to answer your questions:
1. Calculation is almost correct, just some time for XLAT and BLANK has to be there, which increases the data transfer speed.
2. The e xtra clock is just needed once after all bits are clocked through…
