Part Number: TLV320ADC5140
Hi,
we are evaluating the TLV320ADC5140 on a custom PCB to sample analog MEMS with 4 channels at FS 192 kHz sampling frequency and bitclock BCLK 24.6 MHz.
The configuration is the base one from the datasheet with auto PLL setting…
Hi Shengo Ding,
Thanks for the reply,
We are using 5.10.158 LTS kernel.
Yes we want to configure for i2s.
We have desinged the board to use i2s.
The link you have providde is not working.
Please guide us with i2s configuration example which works with…
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140
I'm struggling to understand how I need to configure the TLV320ADC5140 to take two PDM microphones (hardware-configured for left and right) on a single TLV320 channel and send the data via I2S.
Whatever configuration I…
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140 IS it mandatory to terminate the N channel to GND using AC coupling cap in Single ended mode?
When using External Bias supply, the internal bias can be terminated to Caps right? we are connecting the O/P amp to the i/p of the…
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140 It consists of two TLV320ADC5140 connected by I2C bus. The I2C slave address can be distinguished by the ADDRx pin.
Therefore, when I tried to read/write each register using I2C, I found that some registers could not be read…
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140 By turning on and off soft ramp, I have verified I can see the audio recorded by the host ARM chip is in fact getting all 4 channels I am sending. I am set to DC so turned off the HPF (well set to the all pass) I have tried both…
Hello Hayashi,
I was able to confirm my above test from our TI expert and you can pick either the mic or line input configuration for your analog type signals and expect normal operation within the device.

Ore.
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140
I have a custom PCB with a TLV320ADC5140, hooked up to an ESP-WROOM-32UE module.
Having followed the I2C initialisation example from the datasheet (the 8-channel PDM microphone one), the device seems to be up and running. I…
Part Number: TLV320ADC5140 I am not sure why this isn't working, but I've checked my settings multiple times and I've looked at the signal with a scope.
The output from the Jetson Nano I am using as a master shows 48kHz FS and BCLK 6.144Mhz…
Hi Richard,
Okay. I'd be curious to know how it works across multiple boards, as it may be a layout quirk. Either way if you're happy with the solution, I don't see a problem with it going forward.
Best regards, Jeff McPherson
