Hi Yaita,
Yes, the boost converted should be set to 15V or above. We have other drivers that are optimized for lower voltages, like the LM48580, LM48560, and TPA2100P1.
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM48560 , LM48580 , TPA2100P1 Hi,
What is (are) the best suited and in production low power amplifier(s) for driving piezo speakers like Sonitron's SCS series:
LM48560/LM48580 or TPA2100P1 or else?
Regards,
Bruno
Ivan,
Is there a big difference in efficiency between using a series resistor vs. using a resistor and inductor? I'm referring to the verbiage in TPA2100P1 data sheet you provided.
Thanks very much.
Don
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2100P1 I'm having trouble getting the TPA2100P1 amplifier to work correctly. I'm getting a 14 Vpp 265 kHz square wave output with a 100 mVpp 1 kHz sine wave input. A .82 uF cap is connected between the outputs…
Hi Jose
Thank you very much for your answere. I just have one small Point which I would like to clarify. On your provided footprint ( http://www.ti.com/product/TPA2100P1/quality ), the dimensions of the ball on the PCB is designed as Maximum which woul…

LM48560, LM48580, and LM4960.
However, when I search the site, I find many…
Hi, John,
We also have the TPA2100P1 which has an EVM available, and the LM48560 which also has an EVM available.
so, if your customer would like to play around, order one of the above two EVMs for him/her.

Hi, Ushikubo-san,
Unfortunately, with a 5V rail, and a 50 ohm load, your maximum output level will be limited to about 200 mW - see Figure 2 of the TPA6211A1 data sheet.
Class-D, or class-AB can be used. If the speaker has non-resistive impedance, you…
