Part Number: TPA3112D1EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3112D1 Hi team,
I received a TPA3112D1 EVM yesterday. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to work. I supplied power to it (24VDC) and observed the following:
When no connection on output…
Part Number: TLV320DAC32 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3112D1 , , Hi community,
I'm at the developement of a custom board with an mp3 audio output. Therefore I have an Microcontroller connected I2S with the TLV320DAC32 and afterwards an amplifier…
Hi Shawn-san,
According to the following post, OC protection occurs when the output peak current is approximately over 4A. In addition, OT protection is NOT reported on the /FAULT pin and DC protection requires power supply recycle to clear the fault…
Hi Hattie,
most audio power amplifiers already contain protection diodes, which protect the output transistors against damage caused by the inductive kick back of voil coil when the output is suddenly turned-off. This diodes are present across the output…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3112D1 I have a design which needs to use 4 x TPA3112D1 amplifiers to supply 4 separate speakers. I want to use one DAC PCM5100-Q1 as the audio source which can drive any combination of the 4 amplifiers which will depend…
Hi Priya,
The first, TPA3001D1 is a very old device and it's not recommended in the new design, so the support could be very limited. For this application, you could check TPA3112D1.
TPA3001D1 can only be used in mono mode, the figure 30 in the datasheet…
Hi Fred,
Welcome to E2E, thanks for your interest in our products!
Can you share your schematic? It would be helpful to know your output hardware configuration. If there is too much capacitance at the output it could be a reason for this behavior…
Hi Machida-san,
Sorry for the confusion. For different devices, thermal peformance contributes much to the final continuous output power ability. e.g, A device has lower RDson than B device, then the heat dissipation is lower on A device under the the…
Krunal,
For higher power you could take a look at TPA3118D2 and TPA3132D2 for stereo solutions and there is TPA3112D1 for mono solution.
These amplifiers are HW controlled (not I2C) and analog input. If you need I2C control interface with analog input…
